Taxi and individual transfer to pier to Koh Sichang - Koh Loi pier

Koh Sichang is reached by ferry from the Koh Loi pier in Sri Racha. Sri Racha is a town of industrial estates, nicknamed Little Osaka, and its pineapples are as well known as its sauce. The ferry fare is 50 THB, the first boat leaves at 08:00, the last at 20:00, and the crossing takes about 45 minutes.

The island has a royal summer palace, Thai and Chinese temples and quiet beaches. Phra Chutathut Palace is the only palace on an island in Thailand, built under King Rama V in 1892. It is open daily, but its buildings are closed on Monday, and the same applies to the Cholathassathan Marine Museum in its grounds, which has nine zones, a mini theatre and a touch tank.

What to see on Koh Sichang

The Chao Pho Khao Yai shrine, sacred to Thais and Chinese, stands on a hill with a view over the island and a cave beside it. Seamen once came here to ask for help, and it is believed to bring luck to those who worship.

Asdang Bridge, named after a prince of King Rama V, is the best-known landmark. Entry is free, but you should dress properly, and drinking alcohol, fishing and swimming are not allowed. Chong Kao Kard is a sunset spot with cliffs and sea; people walk along the bridge and fish from the rocks.
